Miss Eleanor

Here is the newest addition to our "pack". Meet Eleanor, she is an American Staffordshire Terrier. This is the only way I can get her to be still long enought to get a photo of her. It has been a busy couple of weeks with her. She likes shoes, first time I have had a dog who likes shoes, so it has been a whole new way to think for me. I actually have to pick them up and put the shoes away. She loves her big brother Blag, the Boston Terrier, and Blag loves her. Bogie, the Shih Tzu, will have very little to do with her. Oh well at least they get along. Forgot what a pain potty training can be. She hates her crate, sounds like we are doing her bodily harm. The neighbors understand and think it is funny. They just went through this whole process.

Sky Watch Friday

It looks like a snow capped mountain, but it is not. It was a big white fluffy cloud just sitting there. I took this on my way up Interstate 5 coming back to Portland after a wonderful visit with my friends. Yes, I got to see Faye and we did not get into any trouble. Imagine!

Camera Critters

Meet Bogie (mine), the Shih Tzu, and Blag (my son's) the Boston Terrier. These are the guys who rule my life. Bogie has traveled all over the state with me and loves to hike, hates his sweater but hey he is a white dog and the trails are muddy. Blag loves to hike just not the car ride to get there. My World Post

I chose the Portland Classical Chinese Gardens as my first My World Post.

From their brochure:

"The mission of the Portland Classical Garden is to cultivate an oasis of tranquil beauty and harmony: to inspire, engage and educate our global community in the appreciation of a richlyauthentic Chineses culture".

The gardens truly do that. I chose this one because it shows the garden and also some of the skyline of Portland, Oregon. A times you can forget you are in a busy city while walking the gardens.

Today's Flower Post

Today a friend and I visited the Portland Chinese Gardens and had tea at Tao of Tea Teahouse located in the gardens. I liked the little purple flowers in the vase.

Camera Critters

I was at the zoo the other day and at the Pacific Northwest exhibit the 3 bears where out and about. One was playing with his toy, one was sleeping in the sun, and this guy was in his den sound asleep. He looked so comfy.

Sky Watch Friday

If you look to the right of the rainbow you can see a faint second one. You will have to enlarge the photo. I am working off of a laptop while my old hard drive with all my programs is being copied and restored. Means I can not clean up the pictures, editing out the car for one. At least the car adds some color. Yes, I was driving, but we were stopped.
