"A Japanese Garden is not only a place for the cultivation of trees and flowering shrubs, but one that provides secluded leisure, rest, repose, meditation, and sentimental pleasure... The Garden speaks to all the senses, not just to the mind alone."
— Professor Takuma Tono,Designer of the Portland Japanese Garden

A wonderful garden of grace and a very thoughtful request to turn off cell phones. Disturbing the peace is not just starting a brawl, but also an invasion of the senses with undesirable noise.
What a beautiful serene garden
amazing
love the foot bridge
and the sand designs
I think the plants and simplicity of design of Japanese gardens are very soothing. - just like they're supposed to be.
Thank you for the wonderful tour. This 2nd week of meme really makes us appreciate the many places that we don't usually see or ever had a chance to visit like the one you showed me in this post. Hope you get to have time to check my world too. Another great job and more to come in the coming weeks.
What a serene place:)
Just looking at these is soothing! I can't imagine actually being there and the calm that most certainly most come over you.
I think I could use a visit to a place like that right now. Do they have places to fall asleep?
This place is gorgeous. Another place to go next time I visit?
So beautiful and peaceful. I've added it to my must see before I die list.
Hope everyone is having a Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain!
Looks like a truly beautiful place to visit. Such lovely photographs too. I enjoyed seeing part of your world!
